Tele-Fonika Kable SA has been founded in 1992, and since then the company developed massively. Today it is recognized as a reliable provider of cables and associated products made from copper, aluminum and fiber optics. Its products are used by the world's leading power, telecommunications, electronics, shipbuilding, and mining companies across the globe. Since the client experienced continuous development, the technical requirements for the business raised in time.

To be able to meet the market demands and the customers' expectations, TELE-FONIKA Kable needed support in upgrading its systems and implementing new technological solutions to streamline the internal processes. SE16N had the knowledge and skills to help the company to upgrade its ERP 6.0 to ERP 6.08 system and migrate to the SAP HANA platform while ensuring minimum disruption across the company.

1. Optimize the existing licenses

   Licensing and services, systems update and increased security for SAP systems was a necessary step, in order for the company to be able to work with the latest tools.

2. Improve cost-efficiency

   The solution aimed to increase savings based on hardware and also to optimize the IT environment.

3. Access new functionalities

   New functionalities were necessary in order for TFK to respond to the ever-changing market demands, with up-to-date technologies.

After considering many options and debating over functionalities and benefits, TFK decided to upgrade its ERP 6.0 to ERP 6.08 system and migrate to the SAP HANA.

SAP HANA is one of the most widely used ERP platforms and it enables real-time business by converging transactions and analytics on one in-memory platform. SAP HANA untangles IT complexity and democratizes in-memory computing, bringing huge savings in data management and empowering decision-makers everywhere with new insight and predictive power. The platform offered all the analytical and agility capabilities that TFK needed.

The main activities that ensured the successful implementation of the digital transformation project were:

• Operating Systems & Database migration of SAP systems and upgrade to the target component;
• Preparation of the blueprint needed in upgrading and migrating the SAP system environment;
• Supporting the client's acceptance tests and solving issues during the project in the area of SAP BASIS;
• Supporting and problem-solving in functional areas of the company;
• Supporting and error resolution in the ABAP programming area;
• Implementation of the new configuration of HA / DR reliability mechanisms for SAP HANA systems according to the TELE-FONIKA Kable expectations and needs;
• Conducting tests of switching technical centers and restore analyses of backup/restore SAP system environments;
• Project documentation.

1. Optimize the existing licenses

   Through the upgraded licenses, TFK can access the newest tools and technologies in the ERP sector, allowing them to answer to demanding market needs properly. They also support compliance with the latest security standards and data protection regulations.

2. Improve cost-efficiency

   Replacing the infrastructure with a more secure and developed one means that TFK is better protected against Disaster or data loss. Also, an optimized infrastructure improves processes as well and cuts costs related to operations.

3. Access new functionalities

   New functionalities such as real-time insights and built-in functionality to virtualize access to data, TFK can adapt and answer to its markets with renewed agility and precision.

4. Accelerate the business processes

   An important achievement related to the streamlining of the business processes is the reduced RTO from hours and even days to minutes. This allows TFK to execute fast processes that before were time-consuming, while also focusing on more strategic activities.
